Anna B.

Anna B. is originally from Los Angeles but currently resides near Portland, Oregon. She received her MA in English from California Polytechnic State San Luis Obispo, and her BA in English Literature from California State University Bakersfield. 

Anna has mentored and tutored high school and college-level students for over ten years. During her time at Cal Poly, she taught freshman English, tutored undergraduate and graduate students, and also worked as an Academic Coach for Cal Poly’s athletics department. Working with students to use their written and language skills to succeed is a deep passion of hers, and she is excited to continue her journey with College Planning Source. Anna has worked with prospective Ivy League, UC, and pre-medical students. 

Her strengths consist of communication, empathy, and a deep understanding of the English language. She encourages students to reflect deeply on their experiences to better understand themselves and their motivations and to embrace the idea of the Burkean Parlour, where every person’s ideas deserve to be heard and shared.

Aside from essay editing, Anna loves ice skating, being surrounded by her pets, going on hikes in the Pacific Northwest, and reading with a hot beverage on a rainy day.
