Susan McGuire

Susan McGuire is a passionate educator, a lover of ideas, and a fierce advocate for students with over 20 years of experience in college admissions and counseling. Susan began her career as Assistant Director of Admissions at Brown University, where she also earned her bachelor’s degree in American Civilization.  She holds a Master’s in Education (Counseling Psychology) from UPENN, a Master’s in Theological Studies from Emory University, and she is currently working on a PhD. Susan has been Director of College Counseling at three independent schools, an educational consultant to students both in the U.S. and abroad, and a college counselor for non-profit organizations serving low-income, college-bound scholars. 

Susan guides with a caring touch while encouraging students to own their voice and style. For Susan, the best and most fulfilling part of her work over the years has been watching students discover and claim their unique stories and grow into confident self-advocates throughout the college process.
