Katy W.

Katy Watts was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and has been a high school counselor for 24 years, starting in California public schools in 2002. Her educational journey has taken her abroad (Bahrain) and to Texas. She has been happily working with students in the Lake Tahoe, CA area since 2015. While Katy has worked with international students and domestic students living in the US and abroad, she has also been an external freshman admissions evaluator for multiple University of California campuses.

Katy is an empathetic listener and a strategic planner. She enjoys helping students create a vision of their future and supporting them as they work toward it. She is with them step by step, with patience and education, allowing them to take ownership of their own plan. Katy resides in Reno, NV, with her family, where she enjoys skiing, Lake Tahoe, and visiting as many US states as possible in her spare time.
