The Gold Plan is our package that includes college admission guidance provided by our counselors, our proprietary tools to help with the management of the applications, 8 College Planning workshops, along with reviews and revisions of:
- The application for the California State Universities known as the Cal State Apply, which serves 23 campuses
- The application plus 4 essays for the University of California known as the UC Application, which serves 9 campuses
- The application plus 1 personal statement for the Common Application, which is used by over 800 private and out-of-state universities
- 5 additional Common Application schools and their corresponding supplemental essays, which can vary by institution
- Institutional Applications for schools that do not require essays
- Applications and essays outside of the CSU, UC, Common Applications plus the 5 additional common application schools
- Essays and applications for institutional specific Honors Programs
- Essays and applications for institutional specific scholarships
* Additional essay support can be purchased for an additional fee
Since the Gold Plan includes the review and revisions of the UC Application plus its 4 essays, we would then substitute a review of an additional 4 essays for another institution(s)
Families can decide to either work on those applications and essays without utilizing our services or they can opt to include those additional applications and essays for a fee.
Our program is designed to help cover the majority of topics. Topics/essay may be recyclable from other schools that we’ve worked on. But, many students value our expert essay feedback. In this case, we edit based on the number of words per essay. We have a separate link for parents to request additional essays during the time of applications.

Gold Plan Package
- We require that all students finalize their college list in their Custom College Plan (CCP) by August 15th. This is to ensure we have enough time to build their calendar and review each of their schools’ specific application requirements.
- Once they have finalized their balanced college list, they will need to let us know which additional 5 Common Application schools we will be reviewing from their list.
- If families would like College Planning Source to review any applications and essays outside of what the package includes, we will need to be notified and families will be required to pay the additional fee prior to us reviewing those applications.
- All applications and essays will need to be submitted to College Planning Source for review at least 2 weeks prior to the application due date to ensure they can be reviewed in a timely manner.
- College Planning Source is finished reviewing all applications and essays by December 15th.
